Managing vs. Healing

When you have trauma patterns in your nervous system and cells from childhood, or other life circumstances, this pushing through is a way to MANAGE something deeper. While it works as a temporary solution, over time it begins to take a greater toll.

For me, relying too much on logic in business creates a point of diminishing returns.

Logic is not the only element to life - it’s important for sure - but our mental logic is limited to our current paradigm! And this is a major flaw of the logic-only way of entrepreneurship.

To me, spiritual practice & embodiment is what brings the HEAT - as in the life force energy to business.

Business is about being in the market place, assessing need, contributing your gifts, creating things, connection, vision, faith and confidence and a lot more than logic.

For me business is also about flowing in harmony with the energetic current. I do have a second line in my Human Design Profile (sacral generator 5/2) which means things must be harmonious and NATURAL for me.

It doesn’t mean things can never be uncomfortable, it just means that discomfort needs to be in alignment with creating more ease in the long run. So the discomfort is about detoxing from old ways of being...

Accepting the impact of trauma is the most important step in the healing journey:

What Does it mean to accept the impact of trauma?
To become aware of and address the longstanding physical, emotional and mental effects of traumatic experiences. To make the journey back into the body and begin the process of discharging chronic stress so the body can move itself into a state of repair and regeneration.

I have worked with A LOT of high performers. And one thing I have noticed is that accepting the impact of trauma is VERY challenging. I experienced this myself early in my healing journey. There’s a protective denial that unconsciously forms around the pain of the past.

And we unconsciously look away from these painful, shocking or terrorizing experiences that have happened to us. This is partly because this deep understanding of trauma and what it actually IS is very new - it’s very cutting edge. And so...

As I often say - Healing is my life’s work!

I organize my life around my own healing and alignment - I don’t try to fit my healing and alignment into the life my ego thinks it wants!

That means I put my spiritual and nervous system health first, above all else. This is a practice I have cultivated during over 12 years of the healing journey. Now, I know my system so well, I can give it exactly what it needs all the time. I know how to tend to myself.

When you sign up for the healing journey, you are signing up for a new way of life. To heal at the nervous system and spiritual level, you don’t just do some patchwork on the top layers of your life.

To embark on this journey, you are reclaiming yourself - your soul sovereignty and opting out of the status quo. Which is great - because the status quo is not working and makes us sick!

Let’s talk about sacred geometry!

Sacred Geometry is a beautiful way to understand ALIGNMENT. It’s the understanding that there are basic, underlying patterns and shapes which form the rhythms and flows of life.

These patterns are simple in that they usually begin with a basic shape, and mysterious because as the basic shape is duplicated or combined with other shapes, they take on a complexity that mimics the harmonic rhythms of all physical and spiritual life.

What does this have to do with your healing and alignment?

Are you scared and intimidated around people you perceive as strong, powerful, smarter, or more accomplished than you?

I have felt this way sooooo many times

In fact it’s an area that I am CONSTANTLY working on within myself.

The little traumatized child in me wants to quiver and shake and fawn because that’s what I did as a little one to survive in my home around a mom who couldn’t handle the threat of someone’s light shining in her presence.

Thankfully after stumbling around in the beginning, I’ve managed to find some footing here.

What most of us do is feel weak and small and contemptuous - and then jealous - and then angry at ourselves and then feel like we shouldn’t feel that way and try and puff our chests to seem like we’re really not that vulnerable. I’ve done that a lot in my life.

And then? We think it’s so disgusting that we could allow ourselves to feel that way AGAIN after a childhood of making ourselves smaller - we...
